ABOUT JOHN

John was born in New Zealand in 1961,

Johns main form of artistic expression is through surrealism. His art is often expressed  using  futuristic and metaphysical concepts and is sometimes portrayed in a playful way.

 “Reality is only a matter of perception, and we can create opportunities or limitations depending on the way we see things”
John has always been fascinated with this idea, so he constructs paintings using objects out of context in order to communicate another way of seeing.

Evolution, both in the physical and the spiritual sense is another interest displayed in Johns work.
The idea of how we evolve as a species and the many possible outcomes as a result of our experiences and internal journeys.

John is presently working with a new realm of ideas and is compiling a series of paintings that will be shown in the near future.
